We have extensive experience in the design and implementation of evaluation studies using a variety of research designs and analytic methodologies. Staff members in this program area are experienced in applied microeconomics, econometrics, and statistical analysis. The economists and scientists in this program have conducted social and economic research and policy analysis in the fields of labor, international trade, health care, education, transportation, military manpower, housing, and environmental policy. Recent and current project highlights include interagency coordination and planning of federal training policies for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL); a financial simulation model for pension modeling for Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC); the Unemployment Insurance System for DOL; and analyses of migration and utilization patterns of Medicare beneficiaries for Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA). Fu Associates' scientists have participated in a number of Congressionally-mandated program evaluations including the National Assessment of Vocational Education and a four-year evaluation of the Even Start Family Literacy Program. The firm has performed extensive analyses of the Prospects Study data from the evaluation of the Title 1 compensatory education program, and is also a member of the research team conducting a five-year national evaluation of the adult education program. |
